This is all very exciting, my first post! I think the best way for you all to get to know me is by showing you my favourite products, so let’s get to it.
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
The foundation I am using at the moment is Nars Sheer Glow in the colour Cádiz. I simply adore this foundation. I know this is probably on the more high-end scale of foundations but the main reason I chose this brand is because it has a larger range of colours compared to some drugstore foundations. Unlike like the name states, this actually gives more of a medium coverage which I like. You could still wear this if you prefer a light feel on your skin simply use a small amount and for those who like a fuller coverage this definitely a buildable foundation which gives a flawless finish. A drugstore dupe, based just on coverage, that I would recommend for this product is Rimmel’s Wake Me Up Foundation. I understand there are differences in matte texture of Nars and the glowiness of Wake Me Up but both give that unblemished look we all want.
Benefit High Beam Highlighter
Recently there seems to have been an explosion in all things highlighter, I even heard the term strobing to be the next big thing! Whenever I think of Benefit most of their products cater towards the fairer skin tone as they too can be left out of the drugstore mass market. Nevertheless, there are a few gems which can suit the darker skin tone with their highlighters being one of them. I apply High Beam by blending it on my cheek bones, the bridge of my nose and just under my eyebrows-basically the high points of my face. Whenever I do this I always get complimented on my face! I think it really lifts the tone of my skin to hide any dullness and it overall makes me look healthier. Again a similar product to this more on the lower price scale is NYX Liquid Illuminator in Sunbeam so this would be a good one to try out before splashing out on Benefit.
Sleek Blush by 3 in Lace (367)
What would life be without Sleek. They probably provide one of the highest pigmentation on the high street market across their range of products. My favourite of the three blushes is definitely the middle one called Guipure. It gives that healthy, glowy finish that just enhances any highlighter that you will apply. It has a similar finish to Nars blush in Orgasm which seems to have a cult following! Crochet on the right gives that cute, rosy finish great for when your skin is feeling dull and needs a little uplift. Lastly, Chantilly is a beautiful coral colour that was all the rage last year but it is not one I tend to use often.
Hope you enjoyed this first post, let us know in the comments what you would like to see from us all!
