Hey Friends, I’m very excited to show you another makeup look this time featuring my friend Rachael. It features a very natural but still glamorous golden eye look perfect for a night out or date night! Comment below what other eye looks you would like to see us all do!
Firstly I began with a primer and used Benefit’s Porefessional to create that flawless base for easy foundation application. After waiting for 5 minutes for the primer to sink in, I applied Rimmel’s Stay Matte foundation in 010 – Light Porcelain (which is similar to the MAC shade NC15) across the face. I then placed Benefit’s Stay Don’t Stray both underneath the eyes to hide any dark circles.
Now onto the eyes! Using a slightly damp flat brush, I packed on the golden colour Half Baked from Urban Decay’s Naked Palette. Using a damp brush really intensifies the colour to make Rachael’s eyes really stand out. I also ran this colour under the eye lightly. I wanted to deepen the crease by using a light brown colour, it was very hard finding a colour which wasn’t too harsh on Rachael’s eye since she has such a pale skin tone. This is why using the first brown shade from her L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche La Palette Nude was the perfect natural colour for her. I also ran this same colour at the base of the eye focusing on the outer edges. I then lined Rachael’s upper eyelid with Bourjois’ Liquid eyeliner keeping it very close to the lash line and not creating a huge flick. To complete the eyes, I applied lots of layers of bareMinerals Lash Domination Mascara to create that ‘opened eye’ look.
To finish off the face, I applied Rimmel’s Stay Matte powder (as shown above) in the colour 01 translucent for that matte effect that Rachael prefers. To add a bit of a healthy glow into the face that the powder dulls, I applied Benefit’s Girl Meets Pearl to the high points of Rachael’s face. I then placed bareMinerals Photo READY blush in the colour Aphrodisiac which is a peachy coral colour and Bourjois lipstick in Rose Neon 012.
I hope you enjoyed this golden eyes look, hopefully Rachael will feature more as my model for all you people with a pale skin tone. Til’ next week, Bye!
