Hey friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful week, I am back to show you a shimmery, copper look that I recently wore on a (rare!) night out. I think copper is such a versatile colour that suits every skin tone so this look will be perfect for everyone! Don’t forget to leave your copper coloured recommendations in the comments below. 🙂
To begin I prepped my skin with my normal skin routine and all the products I used can be view in my previous post. Then I used my standard Body Shop Matte Me face primer and Nars Sheer Glow foundation all buffed in with my Real Techniques expert face brush.
For the eyes, I began by applying LA Colours copper colour eye pencil all over the lid and under the eye. I then used my MAC 217 brush to blend in the colour so I didn’t get that awkward looking eyeshadow line. I always find that whenever I blend the intensity of the colour seems to fade so I like to pack on Bourjois Little Round Pot Eyeshadow using a slightly wetted flat brush. After another blending around the edges I use a matte brown colour from either my Too Faced or Naked 1 palette in the crease. On the outer edge of the eye I used Dark Horse from the Naked 1 palette to create a little bit of a smokey eye which always looks nice for a night out. I also applied this colour on the outer sides of my bottom lid as well.
Onto the liner! Using a gel eyeliner, I lined my upper waterline. A tip for using gel eyeliner on your waterline: don’t apply it by swiping the brush across the waterline, instead pat the product on. For the main liner, I decided to do a strong, long cat eye-flick. I don’t have an essential tip to do this other than practice makes perfect.
For the rest of my face I used my standard Benefit highlighter on my browbone, inner eye corners, cheekbones, tip of my nose and finally my cupids bow. I also lightly contoured my face using Sleek’s contour palette focusing on under my chin and the hollows of my cheek. I finished with some soft pink lip gloss.
I hope you enjoyed this simple copper night-out look and don’t forget to show me your recreations in the comments below! Til’ next time, bye! Una x
