Makeup Wishlist | Kajal

I love making lists, so thinking about possible makeup purchases is a wonderful way for me to procrastinate, and ignore the ever-climbing pile of uni work that I have.

Mac Retro (8)
I need to stop buying expensive lipsticks.

Now I know that it is mid-March, but I have come up with a list of makeup products that I’m thinking about buying this year. However, most of these items probably don’t fit in very well with my student budget. Therefore, I have undertaken the task of duping anything that I can!

The top item on my list (that I want to buy before spring kicks off…) is Mac’s Diva. I’m completely and utterly in love with dark lipsticks at the moment, but I can’t see myself pulling it off in April… The issue I have is that at £15.50, this lipstick purchase is not something I can justify any time soon…the answer? Maybelline Sensational Creamy Matte Lip Color in Divine Wine!  After many internet searches, and several swatching sessions, I am convinced they are incredibly similar, and at £6.99 (without student discount), I feel like this is a purchase I could just about justify!

I find finding dupes more satisfying than owning the more expensive product, but that’s just me. (I like a good challenge.)

Other items currently on my wishlist (which I haven’t found cheaper alternatives for yet) :

  • theBalm Mary Lou Manizer Luminizer
  • Nars Lovejoy blush
  • Benefit Sunbeam highlighter
  • Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Beetroot
  • Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Pink

If you have any suggestions for dupes, do let me know!

What is on your makeup wishlist?
