A short post today I’m afraid, but hopefully one you’ll find useful. But, I’ll say now that it’s not suitable for vegans! (It’s about lanolin.)
I’ve always struggled with dry, chapped lips, constantly on the search for the next best fix. In 2012 I came across Dr. Lipp ‘original nipple balm for lips’ which you may have seen before (I found it in a Sephora but I see it in in-flight catalogues a lot). It is 100% pure lanolin, so is very thick, and you only need a small amount. It is also completely natural and hypoallergenic, which is perfect for sensitive skin. It has no fragrance whatsoever. I don’t have to re-apply it frequently, and it has treated my lips the best of any balm I’ve ever tried.
I would recommend this, but at £12 for 15ml, it’s on the pricey side. The solution comes in something I only recently spotted: Lansinoh nipple cream – found in the baby section of Boots!
It is is an identical product, but is sold at £10 for a 40ml tube. (That’s over 3 times cheaper.)
So if you’ve never tried lanolin on sore lips, give it a go! And if anyone can recommend a vegan alternative, please share in the comments.
Have a great weekend, and I promise a longer post from me next time!
