Cleansing & Moisturising Routine

I will be taking you through my current skincare routine. As a disclaimer, everyone has different skin types so the products I use may not work for you. Nevertheless, I would never purchase a new product, skincare or otherwise, without reading some form of online review! Don’t forget to follow us on our new Instagram page and YouTube channel.

The Body Shop’s Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

This is an oil-based product, meaning it is perfect for removing any residual make up or impurities. I take a teaspoon amount and using my fingers, I use circular motions to work it around my face. You could also use a muslin cloth to do this as well. Wash it off with warm water and pat dry with a face cloth.

Sephora’s Cleansing Cream – Coconut Water

This product does the same as the above but its consistency is more akin to a moisturiser. It comes in a small tube handy for travelling. My preference is the cleansing butter over this cream just because I like the thickness of the butter. But I think more people will like this cream because it is light and perfect for everyday use.

St Ives Apricot Scrub in Gentle

I use this scrub to remove any dead skin from my face. I only use this 2-3 times a week because it can be quite rough on the skin. If you have any alternative scrubs I should try out, do let me know!

Palmer’s Eventone Dark Spot Corrector

I have used this product for quite a while now and have definitely seen in an improvement in my acne scars. I am quite lucky that I don’t have pitted scars but think this product helps in ensuring my skin is hydrated to encourage healing.

The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution

A new product in my make up bag but have been dying to try something from The Ordinary. I wouldn’t say I have seen huge improvements in preventing acne but it does a good job in calming any redness and reducing the size especially when used overnight.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Deep Moisture Balm

I really like using thick moisturisers so this product is right up my street! A small amount goes a long way. The moisturiser doesn’t soak in as quickly as I would like but the outcome of hydrated skin is well worth it. It does leave a bit of a tacky feel on your skin but I think this helps when layering primer, foundation etc…

Sephora’s Yellow Clay Mask

I use either a clay mask or sheet mask once a week. This clay mask alleges to give a toning effect but I can’t attest to that claim. But it does definitely give my skin a rejuvenating effect after use.

Please do recommend me any skincare favs that I should try out! Una x
