I was lucky enough to get these two highlighters from Becca for my birthday and I am now obsessed.
The smaller travel-size highlighter is the shade Moonstone, whereas the larger highlighter is in the shade Opal.
Their consistency is fantastic – the formula is so finely milled that it glides effortlessly on to the skin. They are both also incredibly pigmented – as you can tell from the swatches! They honestly are like liquid gold. I do however have to be careful in terms of application to stop myself from looking like a glitter ball!
They don’t emphasise pores and they have a great wear time – they both last all day. In comparison to my Fenty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in the duo Mean Money and Hu$tla Baby, they have less chunky glitter, and the duo leans more on the ‘rose gold’ side, although when applied on to my brown skin-tone, they do look very similar. I found that the wear-time of this highlighter was slighty better, and it emphasised my pores slightly less. I have reviewed that highlighter in this video with Una here.
The packaging is super sturdy and sleek – Moonstone (in its travel size) is great for on the go application but I do find the mirror a bit small to work with.
Opal is the darker, more bronzey shade of the two. It is such a great match for my skin-tone! It is great buffed out for everyday use, but it also looks lovely with warm-toned makeup looks on a night out, and I have even used it as an eyeshadow!
Moonstone is a pale, warm-toned gold, but it is the cooler of the two. It has a more frosty finish, and I love using this for a night out. I have also started layering Opal and Moonstone for a more intense look!
I love them both, and would highly recommend these products. I will be reaching for Becca products more often (if my bank account will let me!)
Hope this helps,
